Floors
can be fitted by either glue fitting direct to a screed subfloor
or by secret nailing onto plywood, battens or joists. Boards up
to 160mm wide can be secret nailed in solid oak, but we strongly
recommend that boards wider than this are screwed and plugged through
the face of the board to prevent cupping of the board.
We are always available to give advice if you decide to fit the
floors yourself. Any competent DIYer can fit a floor as long as
he has the correct tools and follows certain guidelines. A free
factsheet is available should you require and our fitters are only
a phonecall away should you run into difficulties. |
